In his address, Elder Renlund highlighted the critical role of education within the Church's broader humanitarian initiatives.
“Education and literacy are keys to personal growth, self-reliance, strong families and meaningful contributions to society," he said. "Education is the best equalizer in life. It is the foundation for the progress of all children and youth in Zambia."
As Elder Renlund concluded his visit, he reminded the people of Zambia of the Savior's love for them, offering the promise that He is always mindful of them.
During his visit to Malawi, Elder Renlund ministered to two pioneering families in the country, offering words of comfort, hope and love from the Savior. Accompanying him were his wife and Elder Denelson Silva, a General Authority Seventy and First Counselor in the Africa South Area Presidency.

Elder Renlund reflected on the experience of one of the sister members, Sister Bandazi, recognizing the immense faith and courage of women who help establish the gospel in new areas.
“To get the Church established and growing, it takes women of great faith and great courage," he said. "Sometimes, it takes really amazing children too. It really is out of small and simple things.”
During the visit to the Tauzie family home, Elder Renlund offered words of gratitude for their faithfulness and also provided messages of comfort and hope.

His love is there, His love is constant, it is always there. If we are not feeling His love, the problem isn’t with His love. The issue somehow is that the receptors of His love are not feeling.”
One of the highlights of the trip was a large meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he and Sister Renlund shared powerful messages to the women of South Africa during a sisters’ devotional at the Sandton Stake Center on February 21, 2025.
With tears in his eyes, Elder Renlund spoke about the infinite nature of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. "He did it so we can all come to Him," he said. "He did it so that anyone can come to Him. He did it so that even one person can come to Him. He did it so that even you can come to Him. He would have done it, His Atoning sacrifice, if it was only for you."
He emphasized that discipleship doesn’t require perfection, as the Savior is perfect. “God can make the willing able, but He can't or won’t make the able willing."
