Download PhotoFrom September 17 to 19, 2026, more than 75 Young Single Adults (YSA) came together in Megenagna, Addis Ababa, for a three-day conference. They travelled from Addis Ababa, Adama, and Debre Zeit to take part. The theme was "I Am a Disciple of Jesus Christ."
The conference was full of joy from the first day. Young adults who had never met greeted each other with smiles and left as friends. Through games and fun activities, they laughed together and built friendships that will last beyond the weekend.
The spiritual part of the conference was just as meaningful. In the devotionals, the participants reflected on what it means to follow the Savior in daily life; at home, at school, at work, and in the community. They also learned about the importance of marriage and the blessings of the temple. Many said these lessons gave them hope and helped them look to the future with faith.
President Tandoh, president of the Ethiopia Addis Ababa Mission, encouraged the young adults with a short and powerful message: "Commit yourself in the Lord." His words reminded everyone that being a disciple means giving our hearts, our choices, and our future to Jesus Christ.

For many, this conference was a special experience. For Monalis, a member from the Adama Branch, this was her first time attending a YSA conference. Sharing her feelings she stated, "This conference helped me strengthen my testimony and meet my fellow YSA. I am so grateful to be part of it."
The conference could not have happened without the love and hard work of many people. Heartfelt thanks go to the YSA committee, the couple missionaries, and everyone who helped organize this amazing program. Their time, effort, and dedication made the weekend possible and blessed the lives of many young adults.
As the conference ended, the young adults returned to their cities with stronger testimonies, new friends, and a clear desire to live as true disciples of Jesus Christ. The conference reminded everyone that the youth of the Church in Ethiopia are faithful, joyful, and ready to lead.
