All rights reserved.Due to schedule changes, the meeting, originally scheduled at the Prime Minister’s office, was relocated to his home, which was a rare honor. His Excellency’s Chief of Staff and Sister Bli Fidèle Régistre, a member of the Church who helped arrange the meeting, welcomed the visitors. Upon arrival, the Chief of Staff proposed beginning with prayer. Elder Rasband offered it, invoking peace, protection for families and religious freedom in Côte d’Ivoire, while also blessing the Prime Minister’s leadership. The prayer fostered a spirit of unity for their discussion.
Elder Rasband explained the temple’s role in providing spiritual blessings and then highlighted the Church’s welfare and self-reliance programs. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Church’s efforts in promoting peace and empowering members, calling the temple a profound symbol of hope.

Then, before departing, Elder Rasband presented the Prime Minister with a personalized Book of Mormon and a replica of the Christus statue — gifts the Prime Minister cherished as tokens of goodwill.
Accompanying Elder Rasband were Elder José A. Teixeira, Elder Alfred Kyungu and Elder Jean-Claude Sai. The meeting strengthened mutual respect, reinforcing commitments to peace, self-reliance and spiritual growth.
