Live choirs performed for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic at the October General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The conference was broadcast to listeners and viewers in every corner of the world. The sessions of the conference were carried on radio and television on over 900 channels during the weekend in addition to the traditional streaming options.

It was only fitting, therefore, that there would be a multicultural choir performing as part of the sacred events. Amongst the 180-voice choir representing 39 countries, with 35 languages, were the voices of continental Africans and those from the beautiful islands associated with Africa. In harmony with their international brothers and sisters, singers from Botswana, Cape Verde, Madagascar, Nigeria, and Rwanda were proudly represented. It was a sacred and spiritual experience for all, the crowning moment was when the Prophet and President of the Church turned and waved at the choir in the loft.
