The program also featured local soloists from the Accra area. Vocal solos were performed by Urslar Essel, Mitchelle Ajeigbe, Richard Coleman, and Romilly Coleman. Japheth Quaisie Ekejija performed on the piano and the violin and Samuel Coleman provided a piano solo.

President Seth Adjei Frimpong of the Laterbiokorshie Stake, and President Francis Sosu of the Kaneshie Stake, presided over the event and offered the opening and closing remarks.  Leaders from the other stakes were in attendance as well. The event drew over 400 audience members.

The life of Jesus Christ was presented in a three act play with dramatic presentations and narration accompanying the choir’s performances.  The nativity, the ministry of Christ, and the crucifixion, resurrection, and atonement of Christ were depicted in this musical drama.

For over three hours the choirs performed hymns and other sacred music along with traditional music from Ghana, to celebrate the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ, providing unique and memorable experience for the audience.  Each of the choir’s performances emphasized their unique musical style.

The concert ended with the Church leaders promising that celebrating the resurrection of the savior with an Easter choir program would become a tradition in the Accra area.
