December 12, 2025, was a memorable day for the members of the Kabusanga Stake in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where 74 couples officially registered their marriages with the civil authorities. This initiative marks an important step in strengthening families and in the spiritual preparation of the Saints to receive eternal blessings.

Under the direction of Brother Jean Marie Tshianga, second counselor, in the Kabusanga stake presidency, a solemn and organized ceremony took place.

The event was attended by administrative figures, including the ATA (Deputy Territorial Administrator) assistant, the head of offices, the territorial secretary, and the civil registrar, testifying to the collaboration between the Church and local authorities.

The hall was filled with joy and spirituality as 245 Saints and 123 guests came to support the couples.  The ceremony took place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., punctuated by hymns and prayers, followed by refreshments.

Beyond civil formalization, this initiative is part of a spiritual perspective: preparing couples to be worthy to go to the temple to be sealed for eternity. This link between civil law and divine law reflects the Saints’ commitment to building strong homes founded on the principles of the Gospel, and to working toward uniting families for eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven.
