Leaders of Church Women's Organizations in Kinshasa Receive Inspiring Training

Demonstrating their commitment to leadership and personal development

Sister Angélique Tarr, leader of women's organizations in the Africa Central Area of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, provided enriching training for leaders of women’s organizations from the Kinshasa-West Coordination Council on April 13, 2024 in the Kinshasa Stake center. This meeting was a great opportunity for sisters to strengthen their leadership skills and to encourage personal development among women leaders in the community.

Participants included leaders of the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary organizations from the stakes of Binza, Mount Ngafula, Ngaliema, Ngaba, and Lukunga. The sisters participated in stimulating discussions and valuable learning moments.

Blessed with a spiritual atmosphere, participants were guided through a series of carefully planned activities. From reciting the Young Women theme to wide ranging discussions about the scriptures, each moment was an opportunity for growth and connection with eternal principles.

Church President Russell M. Nelson's captivating message to the women of the Church reinforced the sense of belonging to a global community of women leaders, inspiring participants to confidently meet the challenges before them.

At the conclusion of this training for women’s leaders in Kinshasa, the sisters bore their vibrant testimonies of their commitment to female leadership and to personal development. Under the caring leadership of Sister Tarr, the participants left the meeting infused with a new energy, ready to make a difference in their community and beyond.
