The kiosks are being hosted this Christmas season in 126 cities, in 21 countries and on six continents.
For the second year in a row, the Giving Machine event was held in the Sarit Centre.
“Today marks a monumental milestone in Sarit’s journey — one that resonates deeply with our core values of compassion, service and community,” said Keziah Kabutu, head of marketing at Sarit Centre. “In collaboration with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Light the World Giving Machines represent something truly extraordinary. They offer each of us a simple and profound way to give back. Whether it is through raising poultry, food, clothing, educational supplies or medical aid to those in need.”

“The Giving Machine kiosks give us the chance to show compassion, to show mercy, and when we do that, we lift each other and we build community and we become one,” said Elder Paul B. Pieper, First Counselor in the Africa Central Area Presidency. “It doesn’t matter what our religion, what our belief — when we have compassion for each other, when we help each other, it binds us together in love and unity. I hope that as we begin this season, we’ll let our Kenyan light shine and that we will be compassionate. We don’t have to give a lot; we just give what we can to help one person, each day as we can. This is one more opportunity to do that. Let’s Light the World."
