A Media Openhouse was given in Accra Ghana from the Africa West Area Presidency for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The openhouse was held to welcome the media to see and feel what the Church is about in Ghana. Many questions were asked and open discussion was held. Elder Larry S. Kacher led the program, with help from many Area Seventies.
The beginning tour started at the Christiansborg Stake Center on the grounds of the Accra Temple. The temple has been closed for maintenance, but the media was able to ask questions. "What is the main purpose for temples? Why are there restrictions to enter the temple?" A tour of the Stake Center and the nearby Accra Missionary Training Center were also offered.
