It is in this context of great joy and gratitude that, just 28 days after obtaining this document, Church members in Burundi had the privilege of once again welcoming missionaries.
A delegation led by the President of the Bujumbura District, accompanied by branch presidents, auxiliary leaders, and several members, mobilized to warmly welcome at the airport a delegation consisting of the Rwanda–Kigali Mission President, Elder Koranteng; the missionary couple Elder and Sister Robinson; as well as four full-time missionaries.
The newly arrived missionaries are:
- Elder Ochieng (Kenya)
- Elder Sekonou (Togo)
- Elder Nelson (United States)
- Elder Touré (Togo)
The event took place in an atmosphere of joy, fellowship, and gratitude, as evidenced by the photos taken at the airport and during their arrival among the members.

In his remarks, the District President, President Ndikumana, expressed deep gratitude and joy on behalf of all Church members in Burundi. He emphasized that this arrival represents a great blessing and reassured everyone of the members’ commitment to work hand in hand with the missionaries to advance the Lord’s work throughout the entire country of Burundi.
For his part, the Mission President warmly thanked all the members for their faith, constant prayers, and the efforts made in following up on the process that led to obtaining the acknowledgment document. He reminded everyone that it is not only the arrival of the missionaries that is being celebrated, but also the arrival of the restored Gospel, inviting each person to support them in their mission to bring more souls to Christ.
This day therefore marks an important milestone in the life of the Church in Burundi and opens a new era of spiritual and missionary growth.
