This achievement is the result of direct advocacy by the Mayor with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Promptly responding to the request submitted to Elder Thierry Mutombo, General Authority Seventy and President of the Africa Central Area, the Church funded and constructed this modern building to ease the challenges of caring for pregnant women in the city of Mwene-Ditu and the surrounding villages.
The official handover was carried out by Elder Mees Bulang-Cikol Tshiband, Area Seventy for the Mwene-Ditu Area. He symbolically handed over the keys of the building to Mayor Kabwe.
Filled with joy, the mayor proceeded with the traditional ribbon-cutting before transferring the facility to Dr. Jean Claude Musasa, Chief Medical Officer of the Mwene-Ditu Health Zone.

“This building is a concrete response to the needs of our population,” it was noted during the guided tour of the premises that followed the formal ceremony.
The new building, recognizable by its blue roof and solar panels (ensuring crucial energy autonomy for nighttime deliveries and surgical interventions), marks a major step forward in the modernization of local infrastructure.
The ceremony concluded with a visit to the rooms, allowing officials to observe the quality of the work and the layout of the new services which, as of today, will begin receiving their first patients.
