The Osu Children's Home in Osu, Ghana got a recent upgrade to their playground equipment. Latter-day Saint Charities and the Rotary Club of Accra teamed up to provide safer playground rides for the orphaned and abandoned children. Latter-day Saint Charites is the humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Home is located just a few kilometers from the Accra Temple and is home to over 100 children. The Rotary Club and the Church partnered together to create a much safer and fun area for older and younger children. The equipment had been used for many years and had fallen into disrepair. The two groups came together and got the project done.
This was such a huge sucess for both parties, that they are reviewing their commitments to see if they can help each other in upcoming projects.
