All rights reserved.Brazzaville, November 25, 2025 – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made a significant donation of food and non-food items to families affected by the disaster that struck Brazzaville on June 14, 2025. The donation ceremony took place at Jeunes Sources Institute and was attended by Her Excellency Mrs. Irène Marie Cécile Mboukou Kimbatsa, the Minister of Social Affairs, Solidarity, and Humanitarian Action of the Republic of Congo.

Elder Giraud-Carrier, the Second Counsellor in the Central Africa Area Presidency, represented the Church at the ceremony. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of compassion and sharing, emphasizing that this action reflects "the feelings we have for one another, even if we don't know each other".
The Minister expressed her deep gratitude for the support, calling the initiative a "great gesture" that contributed to the government's efforts to aid the victims. She illustrated her point with a biblical reference:
"Like Christ, who gave bread and fish to the multitude, this act of solidarity restores hope and nourishes the morale of the affected families."
