This year’s Light the World with Love Campaign of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was launched in Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone on Saturday 27th November 2021. Donations were made to one hundred less privileged orphanage children from two different homes namely Seattle Orphanage Home and the Blind School. These homes were recommended by the Ministry of Social Welfare. The Mayor of Makeni said that the theme of Light the World throws a challenge to us as stakeholders to go the extra mile. “Although we have been doing it, this is a wakeup call…let us continue to light the world. Let us continue to be kind to our neighbors."
