Helping The Widows and Single Mothers in Nigeria

On 11 December 2021, the Port Harcourt Nigeria North Stake held a Stake Widows Day. There were 20 widows and 8 single mothers who came to hear their Stake Leaders.

The purpose of the event was to light up the hearts of the widows and single mothers; To make them feel loved and happy. The program started with the hymn “Where Can I Turn for Peace?”

Sister Angelina Nyewene and Sister Amadi Jubilee, who are both widows, bore their testimonies and shared life experiences of how they have been able to move on since the death of their husbands. They both testified of the power of prayer and how being self-reliant has blessed their lives and then encouraged the other sisters to move on.

President Frederick Ndah Igwe expressed his love to all the sisters assuring them that they are not alone. They should remain steadfast in all they do and pay their tithes just like the widow's mite for them to receive the Lord’s blessings.
